Today, Sasha Banks is undeniably the top female heel on the NXT Roster. Its a role that shes been perfecting for quite some time now. But prior to her time in the WWE, you may be surprised to hear that Banksor Mercedes as she was then knownwas typically portrayed as a face. While it may seem somewhat hard to imagine now, you can certainly see the logic behind it. Her good looks, slight frame and ability to pull out the athletic manoeuvres make her a suitable candidate for a fan favourite. Add to that an underdog storyline and the rest pretty much writes itself. Its certainly a promising sign for Banks as we move into the future. Sure, shes nailing the heel role that she currently portrays, but the key to longevity in professional wrestling is often the ability to adapt. Her experience on the indies performing as a face give her a great chance of doing exactly that.
