Given that were in 2015 and this is the WWE that were talking about, it will come as no surprise that Sasha Banks hasnt always wrestled as Sasha Banks. Prior to joining the sports entertainment juggernaut, Banks performed under the name Mercedes KV. Far from being a catchy gimmick though, this was simply an abbreviation of her real name, Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado. She used the Mercedes KV name during her time at Chaotic Wrestling in Massachusetts and New England Championship Wrestlingpromotions which incidentally boast Kofi Kingston and John Cena on their lists of former alumni. Mercedes KV was then changed to Miss Mercedes during her
stint with the National Wrestling Alliance, before the control freak that is the WWE got involved and Sasha Banks was born.
