Tune into XFL games in the new season and you won't hear Jim Ross describe QB sacks as akin to being whipped like a government mule, nor will you see Jerry Lawler make countless wrestling references because he has nothing else to say. This time, the XFL isn't WWE lite, and there will be less crossover than before.

Yes, that means even Jesse Ventura is out. How dare they.

Instead of seeing Byron Saxton beam from ear-to-ear and pretend he's having the best time ever announcing a DC Defenders at Seattle Dragons game, viewers will be treated to NFL-quality insight. NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee will be joined by college expert Joel Klatt on FOX, for example.

The other FOX team will see Kevin Burkhardt and longtime Carolina Panther (and three-time Pro Bowler) Greg Olson on the mic. On ESPN and ABC, the likes of Steve Levy (best known for covering the NHL), Greg McElroy (former Jets QB) and WWE's own Pat McAfee (who played in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts) will provide commentary.
