5. Quality Wrestling Matches
One weird thing about fans complaining about the current product is that the matches are, on the whole, being performed at a very high quality. At Survivor Series, Roman Reigns and Alberto Del Rio had a very good match. Dean Ambrose versus Kevin Owens from the same show was also good. If you look at things from a purist in-ring perspective, this is a great time to be fan. Ironically, successful eras like the eighties and late nineties were bereft of regular quality matches. The commercially poor mid-late 90s had Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and other high-calibre, athletic stars tearing it up week in and week out. Nowadays, in-ring performances are good on a weekly basis, almost to the point that some fans take it for granted. And at least once a month, there's a match that stands out as very special. That really didn't happen all that much in the past.
