10 Things WWE Fans Should Be Thankful For Right Now
4. The Dark Side Of The Business Has Been Lessened
Being a wrestling fan in the 1990s and 2000's was regularly a depressing experience. Every couple of years or so, someone would die. And it wasn't just veterans who were getting on in life, sometimes it was guys in their prime. Wrestling was a dark business for so long, with a locker room full of problems. Drugs, drink, painkillers, steroids, a punishing schedule... death became just a part of the business, something to be expected. A young guy would die form a heart attack in a hotel room and you wouldn't be shocked. So we should be thankful that the darkness has been lessened in this current era. Yes, the WWE wellness policy isn't perfect, but wrestlers in general are living better lives. Comic books and computer games have replaced the days of drugs and boozing in the WWE locker room and wrestler deaths are happening at a less frightening pace.
