10 Things WWE Got Horribly Wrong In 2015

7. The Royal Rumble Match

Was the 2015 Royal Rumble match the worst booked one in history? Many will have opinions on such a claim, but the evidence backing it up can be overwhelming. Roman Reigns predictably came out on top, but the vast majority of things that happened before his victory were a complete shambles. It was the early entry and equally early elimination of Daniel Bryan that rankled the most. The Rumble match was Bryan's big comeback from injury, and he entered the ring at number 10. He would last all of 10 minutes, being eliminated by former rival Bray Wyatt. It completely took the crowd out of the match, who responded by booing anything and everything, chanting 'CM Punk' as well as a few less savoury chants. Big Show and Kane were also booked to completely dominate the second half of the match, something that simply shouldn't happen in 2015. They eliminated (with ease, I may add) a number of younger stars, including Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. The latter in particular took out the final bits of potential crowd interest. Wyatt's performance was impressive, but his anti-climatic elimination at the hands of Show and Kane ruined that. Reigns would go on to be booed as the match came to a climax, less because of him and more because of the awful way the match was booked. It reached the point where Rusev was being cheered over him, and not even the desperate introduction of The Rock could save the situation. For two years in a row, the WWE has botched one of their showcase matches. What optimism is the for 2016?
