10 Things WWE Got Horribly Wrong In 2015

3. The Return Of Alberto Del Rio

Few expected to see Alberto Del Rio return to WWE in 2015. After leaving the company under a cloud of controversy in 2014, Del Rio was doing pretty good for himself outside of the company, performing in AAA, Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground among others. Del Rio didn't seem to need WWE, and there was little rumours about the reverse being true. Fast forward to October 2015, and John Cena's United States Championship Open Challenge was taking place at Hell in a Cell. Out rode Zeb Colter, and the wrestling groaned in anticipation of Jack Swagger. What we got instead was the grand return of Alberto Del Rio. Alberto would defeat Cena and pick up the US strap, which he still currently holds. What should have been one of the most exciting returns possible quickly became the dampest of squibs as Del Rio and Colter spoke of MexAmerica, putting their differences aside for the benefits each other could provide. The whole thing has gone over like bad news on Christmas, and Del Rio is back to being cold in the eyes of the audience. Another open goal missed.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
