Some three years after arriving on the main roster, Bray Wyatt is finally a champion in WWE. It is long overdue too, especially when you take into account the many men who have held gold in that time. People often claim that a character such as Wyatt shouldn’t be interested in titles, but this always forgets the age-old fictional power that comes with titles in wrestling.

Wyatt and Randy Orton easily vanquished Slater and Rhyno in what was essentially a competitive squash match, but then it should be. All five involved (with Luke Harper on the outside) played their roles here, and how The Wyatt Family story continues from here will be fascinating. That is all you can ask for really, interesting action that sets up intrigue down the line.

Interestingly enough this is only Randy Orton’s second tag title win, and his first in over a decade.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
