TLC 2016 was (or at least should be) a night when long-term rivalries came to an end, and the Nikki Bella/Carmella feud has surely reached its climax now. Nikki defeated The Princess of Staten Island in a No DQ match that was surprisingly enjoyable, although plunder matches in the middle of the card tend to be on the entertaining side of things.

An argument could have been made for Carmella picking up the big win here to establish her further in the SmackDown Live women’s division, but the bigger picture isn’t so much about wins and losses for her. Carmella’s career is still in its formative stage, and working with a veteran such as Nikki Bella will do more for her development than many realise.

Nikki can now move on to what will surely be an eventual title match on a big stage, and Carmella can take what she has learnt in this feud with her moving forward.
