10 Things WWE Got Right At TLC 2016

5. A Good Chairs Match?

Nobody expected Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto in a chairs match to steal the show, but the two certainly didn’t stink up the joint. In fact, they put on a mighty fun bout that managed to avoid the usual pitfalls of a chairs match with some inventive and unorthodox offence.

Corbin winning was probably the right move too, as WWE clearly want him to stick around for a while. They aren’t entirely sure what to do with him, and whilst this indecision might hurt him in the long term right now they need him to win matches and look somewhat dominant.

Kalisto’s performance was also good, but the former United States Champion is treading dangerously close to one loss too many. He started 2016 off well but has tailed off dramatically since losing the US Championship, as everyone continues to be baffled as to why he isn’t with the Cruiserweight Division. That is a wrong that must be rectified in 2017.
