10 Things WWE Has Forgotten How To Do

9. Work Without Authority Figures

If not for a laundry list of world class to utterly atrocious authority figures, lord only knows how WWE would have survived the past 20 years.

That's a joke, obviously, but we're not laughing at this point. WWE's over-reliance on the tired match-making format has degenerated into parody. Seeing Baron Corbin and Alexa Bliss (who didn't last long in their roles on Raw) mimic the days of an in-his-prime Vince and Stephanie McMahon respectively was awful.

Part of the problem is that Vince and Steph are still in on-screen power themselves. Then, over on SmackDown, Shane McMahon is still cast as the leader despite Paige being stripped of the GM tag; the whole authority scene is a mess, and it needs to stop.

Wrestling fans don't need any visual clarification from some suit as to why matches are happening. That's ridiculous, and the idea has been played out to the point of sheer boredom. In 2019, WWE would be doing themselves a favour by getting rid of it.
