10 Things WWE Must Do To Ensure WrestleMania 33 Doesn't Suck
6. Bring Finn Balor Back For The Event
Finn Bálor has been out of action since August, but his return is almost upon us. Originally rumoured for a spot in the Royal Rumble, Bálor wasn’t cleared for competition in time, but has made a number of public appearances in recent months. The first Universal Champion was recently announced for a set of live dates in March and another batch in May, and it won’t be long before we see him again.
Provided he receives medical clearance, there’s no good reason not to bring Bálor back as soon as possible. WWE are desperately lacking in top-level babyfaces at the moment, particularly on Raw, and his re-emergence would work wonders to freshen-up the red brand’s struggling main event scene. Bringing him back ahead of WrestleMania or at the event itself is a no-brainer, and would improve the show considerably.
Bálor doesn’t even have to wrestle. It’s probably too short notice to inject him into a strong program anyway, and WWE might not want to risk him re-injuring himself on the biggest show of the year. All Bálor needs to do is inject himself into a major storyline, preferably for the Universal Title he never truly lost, and the excitement levels will be heightened.
