10 Things WWE Need To Bring Back
6. Stage Variety
CM Punk once stated that Vince McMahon is a millionaire who should be a billionaire and some questionable decisions have left WWE tightening the purse strings even tighter lately. A consequence of these cost cutting procedures has been the distinct lack of variety when it comes to sets for PPVs and weekly shows.
In the last couple of years we have been treated to bland presentations with only WrestleMania each year having anything close to a unique visual style. As a result, weekly shows lack a certain identity and the PPVs feel tame and forced, with just a set of digital graphics to differentiate them from the rest.
The SmackDown fist, the Backlash axes, and the Royal Rumble taxi cab are just a few of the stages that are still fondly remembered by many fans and helped give each show a character and atmosphere to call its own.
With WWE's current PPV heavy schedule it is easy to see why they recycle so many of the same sets but fans deserve more than they've been getting when it comes to set dressing. Even if the so called “bigger” events got a unique look, it'd be a huge improvement.
