6. The McMahons

It's time to accept that the McMahons as on-screen authority figures aren't going anywhere - at least not until the day WWE finally gets cannibalised and turned into a vehicle for new Pixar movies by Disney.

However, many fans are beginning to feel like they're perhaps now seeing a little too much of them. It's a criticism that has been particularly popular over the last month, when it's been scarcely possible to tune into Raw or SmackDown without hearing Stephanie or Shane addressing their respective locker rooms.

For the most part, there's no denying that each of them are good at what they do. Steph is a brilliant heel who knows how to push the die-hards' buttons, while Shane is a charismatic presence capable of putting on the occasional great match (as he proved to everyone's surprise this year at 'Mania).

But it just feels, at times, like they're stealing the limelight away from the wrestlers. Twice on pay-per-view this year, the WWE Title itself was given second billing behind the SmackDown commissioner's storylines, which shows how central he has been to the the Tuesday night action.
