While Hulk Hogan was largely booed out of Raymond James Stadium, one person who fans were rooting for was Cesaro.

At this year's Showcase of the Immortals, the Swiss Superman emerged victorious over Seth Rollins, securing himself the biggest win of his career.

Rollins is a bona fide main event talent, with four World Championship reigns to his name and a WrestleMania résumé that's seen him share the ring with heavy hitters such as Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton. For Cesaro to face off with the Messiah at WrestleMania 37 was a big deal in itself, but even more so when Tony C picked up the W.

After ten years with the company, WWE finally trusted Cesaro in a major spot on the company's biggest show of the year - and with his performance on Night 1 of 'Mania, the Swiss Cyborg proved he could hang with the upper echelon of WWE's roster.

Of course, fans have long championed Claudio Castagnoli as one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and that was only further hammered home by the huge response Cesaro received before, during and after his WrestleMania win.

Now, WWE just needs to jump on this momentum and keep Cesaro positioned as a serious player on the SmackDown brand. If handled correctly in the fallout from 'Mania, WWE could have a new challenger for Roman Reigns' Universal Championship on their hands in the shape of Cesaro.
