Bayley Bellas WrestleMania 37 Ding Dong

While it would be easy to ramble on further about WWE's usage of Hulk Hogan, it's instead Bayley and the Bellas who are taking centre-stage.

Ahead of 'Mania, many were aghast that Bayley wasn't booked to compete at the Showcase of the Immortals. But still, those same fans held out some hope that the Role Model would at least get a Ding Dong! Hello! segment at Raymond James Stadium.

Not just that, the majority of those hopeful sorts anticipated that maybe - just maybe - such a Ding Dong! Hello! offering would be used to facilitate the return of a certain Becky Lynch.

Having made a couple of appearances across WrestleMania 37's two nights, it looked as if Bayley was finally going to get her time in the spotlight after interrupting Hulk Hogan and Titus O'Neil. Would the former Hugger get the chance to talk herself into an appearance from The Man?

No, no she wouldn't.

Instead, it was Brie and Nikki Bella who came out to shoot down and lay out Bayley.

When taking on its own merit, the Bellas silencing Bayley was okay, and was two Hall of Famers shutting up an annoying heel.

The thing is, WWE had to be aware that fans were desperate to see Bayley, and they had to be aware that a certain section of those fans were expecting Lynch to confront her Four Horsewoman cohort. When looking at that hope and optimism, it was totally boneheaded to then just give the audience the Bella Twins.
