10 Things WWE Raw Can Learn From No Mercy 2016
4. More Women's Feuds
Women’s wrestling has come on leaps and bounds. The simple ditching of the Divas' brand has seen to that while Sasha Banks and Charlotte are making history on a near weekly basis.
However, Raw still seems to forget that you can have more than one women’s feud at a time. Sure, Bayley pins Dana Brooke every couple of weeks, but it’s not a real story.
SmackDown, on the other hand, is putting faith in their woman. Even with Becky Lynch’s injury, No Mercy saw Carmella and Nikki Bella put on a solid match to continue their feud and Naomi’s victory over Alexa Bliss gave Bliss someone to fight until Becky returns. No one in SmackDown’s women’s division is being wasted, and that’s the real sign of progress.
Raw may have the women main eventing their show and breaking all the records, but they are still treated like a special attraction, something that adds a little spice to the men’s wrestling. SmackDown meanwhile gets the most out of their women and benefits because of it.
