10 Things WWE Regrets About SummerSlam

7. Shawn Being Shawn (SummerSlam 2005)

Having spent his initial retirement finding God and absolving himself of years of being a complete ass, Shawn Michaels' WWE return in 2002 saw a new Shawn.

Gone was the partying, addiction-troubled Heartbreak Kid who would go into business for himself and purposely make fellow wrestlers look bad both in the ring and behind the scenes. No, this was a new HBK who was all about professionalism and spreading the good word about the man upstairs.

Well, until SummerSlam 2005 came around.

When Michaels begrudgingly turned heel to set up a match against Hulk Hogan at the event, Shawn was a little unhappy about a few things. Not only had he not wanted to turn heel in the first place, he also took umbrage with the fact that Hogan had ruled out a planned second match in which The Hulkster would have done the J.O.B., brother.

To show his frustration at this enforced heel turn and dropped rematch, Shawn went out and oversold all of Hogan's offense - in turn making a mockery of one of the biggest matches on one of WWE's biggest shows.

For this one, clearly WWE regrets giving Hogan so much creative leeway and that Shawn put on such a laughable performance as a result.
