10 Things WWE Did Right At Battleground

1. Tag Title Match Was One Of The Year's Best Matches

Usos Harper Rowan Battleground If you watched this show and a friend asked you what one match they should watch if they missed it you should reply by telling them to check out The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) two out of three falls victory over Luke Harper & Erick Rowan. It was a classic tag team matchup that saw each team get a fall in the first ten minutes as the Wyatt Family controlled the action for the most part. Things really picked up later in the match as the Usos got their momentum back and put on a show. There were multiple dives over the top rope, Jimmy ran the railing at one point to deliver a move, Harper hit an impressive dive outside the ring and Rowan's double superplex spot sounds like it's something a human shouldn't be able to pull off, but give him credit for making it work. What really stood out was all the nearfalls. There were several instances where it looked like Harper & Rowan were going to win. Most of us figured they would since they got another tag title match, but the Usos foundd away to kick out of everything and they finished off Harper with a double top rope splash for the win. The match was one of the year's best and proof that when you have a three month feud the chemistry can sometimes be so great that you can pull off a match of the year contender if you are given the chance to do so. While Battleground was not what we would consider to be a "can't miss" show, you should go out of your way to see the tag team title match because it was a classic.
