10 Things WWE Did Right At Extreme Rules

9. Alexander Rusev Was Dominant Again

The way WWE has booked Alexander Rusev since he debuted has been perfect. He's not a guy that is going to have long matches at this point. It's all about bringing the pain with him. Rusev destroyed Xavier Woods and R-Truth before the bell even rang. That spot he did where he threw Woods into the steel grating on the side of the ring apron was fantastic. It's not something we've seen too often, so to see Woods bounce off that steel was memorable. If we see the same things all the time we barely react to them. When somebody does something new it stands out. It was also interesting to hear Lana's pre-match promo about how she represents Russia and Rusev is now a Russian resident. That would be an expensive plane ride every wee huh? Anyway, she also mentioned how much she liked Russian President Vladimir Putin, which drew the ire of the crowd. It was an interesting line and one that is sure to get WWE some media attention if they keep doing it. That's why they did it in the first place.
