10 Things WWE Did Right At Extreme Rules

3. The Shield Defeated Evolution Decisively

The Shield's match with Evolution was clearly the match of the night and it also did everything it needed to do. They did a fantastic job of having Evolution work over Rollins and then Ambrose in their corner for the majority of the match. Once Reigns got the hot tag, everything broke down and they set up the finish after that highspot by Rollins. The fact that it was Reigns that hit his signature Superman Punch and Spear on Batista for the win isn't a surprise. Reigns is the member of The Shield that will get pushed as a singles star within the next year while Batista may be going on a break for a couple months. The clean win goes a long way in continuing to build up The Shield. Maybe the Triple H haters out there will lighten up since he put over Daniel Bryan clean at WrestleMania and was a part of this loss too. Then again his haters have been around for decades now so they'll probably never stop driving home the thought that Triple H holds people down.
