10 Things WWE Did Right At Night Of Champions

5. Sheamus Knows How To Have A Physical Brawl With Cesaro

When WWE matched up the US Champion Sheamus against Cesaro, they did so because they knew what they could do. They've had several matches together on PPV (Payback earlier this year), TV and live events. You could tell he's one of Sheamus' favorite opponents. It must be a European connection they have because when they wrestle they beat the hell out of each other. Their matchup was full of power moves. There were so many uppercuts, forearm shots and powerful slams that it made you appreciate how talented they are. Not a lot of guys can wrestle that style. It also looked like they weren't holding back. That's not to say they were going to hurt each other. It's just that they were making it look more real than others. Ultimately, Sheamus got the win with a surprising Brogue Kick. This was actually one of the title matches where we expected a title change just because Sheamus has had a US Title reign that has been pretty boring, but he was able to keep it. They could still do a change soon or maybe somebody like Rusev will be his next challenger. Sheamus isn't American although holding the US Title could make Rusev target him. It's a possibility at least. Hopefully the great showing by Cesaro leads to more TV time for him. There was a period of a few months in there where he wasn't booked well at all. It would be foolish for WWE management to not use him on a regular basis. He's too good of a performer to be sitting on the sidelines.
