10 Things WWE Did Right At Payback

2. New Feuds Are On The Horizon

The best thing WWE did at Payback was they likely put an end to two feuds that needed to be done. John Cena's story with Bray Wyatt started back at January's Royal Rumble when Wyatt cost Cena the WWE Title match against Randy Orton. After three straight PPV matches where Cena won two of them, it looks as though the storyline is over although there were rumors that it might continue. I hope not. It has run its course. The Shield beat Evolution at last month's Extreme Rules show in a clean fashion. There was no controversy at all. After Evolution attacked them again, it set up the rematch at Payback. This match was a lot different than the other one because weapons were legal and there was a No Holds Barred stipulation even though there was a ten minute period where they were doing tags for some reason. After The Shield's win, it looks like this one is done. With Money in the Bank coming up later this month, then Battleground in July and a major SummerSlam show in August it's time for WWE to build up some new rivalries. Payback was the end of two big feuds. They were fine, but WWE needs to improve on things and offer up something new as we head on the road to Money in the Bank.
