10. Bad News Barrett Is Succeeding As Intercontinental Champion
The fourth Intercontinental Title reign of Wade "Bad News" Barrett started one month ago at Extreme Rules and he continued his momentum with a win over Rob Van Dam. Nobody really expected RVD to win, nor should they have. At this point in his career, RVD is just a guy in his 40s that is there to put over the younger talent because WWE thinks his name still has a lot of value even though that's questionable at this point. What's good about this Barrett reign is that he's getting better responses from the crowd due to the "I'm afraid I've got some bad news" phrase that he does before his matches and the Bull Hammer finisher is very effective. The next step that needs to happen for Barrett is a worthwhile feud for the IC Title. It needs to be something that can go two or three months that makes people care about the babyface opponent, whoever it is. If it was up to me they should call up Sami Zayn from NXT and put him in a feud with Barrett right away. It would work.
