The Divas Champion Paige was on the defensive for much of her match against the volatile Alicia Fox. However, there was never a point where it looked like Fox was going to win or that the fans bought into it. The fans were busy not caring about the match and chanting things unrelated to the women. It wasn't a match that was close to the level of the outstanding matchup at NXT Takeover as Charlotte beat Natalya, but that's because women on the main roster rarely get a lot of time to have longer matches. It's just how WWE is. Frustrating? Sure. Likely to change? No. It's been this way for years. While Triple H's influence is growing and he does like longer matches like we see on NXT, until it becomes a regular thing on the main roster the longer matches for divas isn't something we should expect. None of that is the fault of Paige, though. She's a good champion in her early 20s with a very bright future. Look for her to hold onto the Divas Title until AJ Lee comes back likely in July at which point they'll probably have a lengthy feud.
