10 Things WWE Did Right At SummerSlam

10. A Dominant Night For The Heels

SummerSlam 2014 will be remembered as a night for the bad guys because it was a very successful night for the heel characters in WWE. There were eight matches on the show. Six of them were won by the heels. What's good about a strong night for the heels is that most of them are intriguing characters with bright futures. Paige and Rusev are still new on the main roster, so their momentum continued after their wins. Rollins and Wyatt are on their way to becoming main event level performers. Stephanie McMahon annoys some people, but it's hard to deny how effective she is as a heel. Then there was Brock Lesnar, who was booked as strong as any heel we've seen in a very long time. It's pretty rare to see a PPV end with heels going 6-2 especially when we're so used to seeing the good guys come out in the end. The story of wrestling is like a movie. The heroes get knocked down and then they fight back. It's time to see who fights back. That's good story building.
