WWE's Saudi Arabian shows were, up until now, inconsequential to major events like WrestleMania. They existed almost in their own bubble, and the company treated them like standalone cards that had next-to-no impact on everything else going on. Most were happy with this, because it let them dismiss the Network specials as skippable oddities on the pay-per-view calendar.
Super ShowDown 2020, flaws and all, changed that.
Thursday's pay-per-view left more clues about what's in store for 'Mania 36 than some might have expected going in. When the world is finished losing their minds over Goldberg's Universal Title win or the usual hatred these Saudi trips seem to whip up, then maybe they'll come to terms with the fact fans are powerless to change what is one seriously lucrative business relationship for WWE.
Nobody wants to admit that, but it's true. Besides, those paying attention to events in Riyadh would've perhaps enjoyed piecing together what's coming at WrestleMania from the booking there. As controversial as it was, Super ShowDown did tell both fans and WWE alike a few things about Tampa...
