In March, Bill DeMott resigned as head trainer at the WWE Performance Centre after repeated allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment went public and #FireDeMott started trending on Twitter. Over ten separate wrestlers and ex-trainees have come forward in the last few years with allegations that include physically assaulting and bullying trainees, forcing athletes to perform dangerous drills without properly warming up (which lead to documented injuries), and using homophobic and racial slurs. He was accused of ripping a t-shirt off of Rusev who'd had recent neck surgery, pulling the ring ropes back and hitting trainees in the mouth with them, calling one of his prospects a "pedophile" and another a "f****t". Derek Bateman, now performing as EC3 in TNA even weighed in about DeMott's actions, tweeting: https://twitter.com/EthanCarterTNA/status/573002341944848384 In 2013, the company claimed to have conducted a full investigation into allegations brought against DeMott and his teaching methods, but ex-WWE stars like Briley Pierce (aka Ryan Nemeth, Dolph Ziggler's little brother) have doubted the legitimacy of such an inquiry, when the company omitted to question him, despite being one of the named victims. DeMott may have jumped before he was pushed but the multiple accusations have cast a dark shadow over the Performance Centre, formerly one of the biggest jewels in WWE's crown.
