10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Batista

2. He Wasn't Originally A Part of Evolution

The reunion of Evolution has been a lot of fun to watch, but what WWE won't mention during Raw or Smackdown is that Batista wasn't originally slated to be a part of the group. It was supposed to be Mark Jindrak. This point was mentioned on Triple H's DVD, but as we've mentioned before if something is mentioned on a DVD that reveals inside stories it's not the same as a storyline on Raw or Smackdown.

After the Triple H DVD came out, Jindrak admitted that he wasn't ready to be a part of the group: "I wasn't ready for Evolution at that time in my career. I was immature and Batista fit better. It was mine to lose and I dropped the ball. But since then I've matured and understood why I missed that chance and it's helped me in my career which ended up in CMLL in Mexico."

While he does seem happy to be wrestling in Mexico, his career and Batista's career would be a lot different if Jindrak was the fourth member of Evolution instead of Batista. Maybe Batista would have still found a way to be a top guy, but it's obvious that benefited from working with the likes of Triple H and Ric Flair.

The storyline that was in place for Batista as part of Evolution worked perfectly. He deserves a lot of praise for his work as a babyface and maybe he should thank Mark Jindrak for stepping aside too.
