8. That Awful WrestleMania 22 Match With Boogeyman
WWE.comCan we get an apology for this one? Please. Anybody that has followed Booker's career knows that he's one of the best wrestlers ever in terms of having silly facial expressions. He did well as a comedic babyface with Goldust and even as a heel he did a lot of ridiculous things too. At WrestleMania 22 in 2006, though, he had to have a comedic feud with the Boogeyman. The character of the Boogeyman provided few great moments. He was funny once in a while, but for the most part it was just stupid. The guy had short matches all the time, won a lot of them and put worms on other people. They built this story up with the idea that Booker's wife Sharmell was scared of worms, so when Teddy Long made her Booker's partner at WM22 she started freaking out. Yes, they even had a contract signing for it. They had a four minute match that basically built to one moment as Boogeyman kissed Sharmell while he had worms in his wife. It was disgusting. Fans barely reacted to the other parts. It's actually pretty amazing that Booker recovered from this feud because it was so bad and definitely one of the lowlights of his career. Maybe he was happy having a match with his wife as a partner, but I doubt it.
