6. He Worked For TNA After He Left WWE
TNA.comIf you only watched WWE programming in your life then you probably wonder what happened to Booker T from the time when he left the company in late 2007 until his surprise return at the 2011 Royal Rumble. He spent about two years in TNA Wrestling. His TNA run was mildly successful although he was in his early 40s at that point. They didn't push him to become the World Champion although he was part of the Main Event Mafia group. Like most people in TNA you could tell he was losing interest by the end of his run there, so it's no surprise that he got out after his three years there. Like we mention all the time whenever a talent goes to TNA for a few years, it's not something that WWE ever talks about. To them, TNA isn't competition. That's because they really aren't. All TNA is at this point is another place for wrestlers to work, but it's not like they are outbidding WWE for talent. Guys like Booker went because they weren't wanted in WWE anymore. That's how it is a lot of the time. As a side note, his wife Sharmell had one of the worst matches in wrestling history against a woman named Jenna Morasca, who was on the TV show Survivor. It took place at TNA Turning Point 2009 and if you've seen it then you would probably agree that it really is one of the worst matches ever. If you haven't seen it, look it up, but proceed with caution because it's tough to sit through.
