This is one of those things that Bret has talked about many times, but was never really mentioned on WWE TV. It was a possible match between Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart for the WWE Title with Hogan dropping the gold to Bret as a way of passing the torch. It would have been a huge deal, but it didn't happen. Hart dropped the WWE Title to Yokozuna at WrestleMania 9 thanks to Mr. Fuji interfering by throwing "Fuji Dust" into Bret's face. Immediately after the title change, Hulk Hogan came out to challenge Yoko. Hart didn't look too happy about it. Hogan ended up winning the WWE Title within 30 seconds. On his the DVD documentary about Hart, he said it left a bad taste in his mouth. He's said a lot more in his book as well as interviews. According to Hart, the reason Hogan won the WWE Title from Yokozuna was so that he could put over Hart at SummerSlam 1993. They would have both been babyfaces, but it would have been a big deal because that wasn't a main event match that was fresh. Instead, Hogan dropped the WWE Title to Yokozuna at King of the Ring 1993 (two months before SummerSlam) and Hart was stuck in the midcard for a year. Of course when this sort of thing was brought up to Hogan he usually denies it ever happening. That's because Hogan is one of the biggest liars in wrestling. Most people agree that Hart's version of the story is true. Bottom line is it didn't happen even though it was definitely planned according to Bret.
