8. "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler"
http://youtu.be/1GFdurdAFec The way that Ziggler was introduced on the main roster in September 2008 was one of the silliest beginnings of a career that you're ever going to see. All he really did was walk up to people backstage, say: "Hi I'm Dolph Ziggler" and he'd shake their hand. That was it. Perhaps it was one of those tongue in cheek things because in wrestling, it's pretty much an unwritten rule that the newer talents are supposed to shake the hands of the others as a sign of respect. He did the "Hi I'm Dolph Ziggler" thing for several months before dropping it. Maybe it was WWE's brilliant idea to get people to realize he was performing under that name instead of Nicky from the Spirit Squad. It's just that it got annoying after seeing him do it nearly every week. It really didn't lead to anything either. At least we didn't forget his name. If you're wondering, the Dolph part of the name comes from his grandfather and the Ziggler part probably comes from the Dirk Diggler character in Boogie Nights. He was played by Mark Wahlberg and was a porn star in the film. It fits Ziggler's cocky persona although the name is a bit awkward.
