If you watched WWE in 1999 then you know what "GTV" was. It was a secret kind of video that would catch superstars and divas in unsuspecting positions. There were times when GTV caught people in a bathroom (like Val Venis mocking Big Show's "size"), in the locker room or in a hallway. The footage would air on WWE programs with a "GTV" logo and there was a mystery about who it was that was filming these things. In a 2013 interview with WrestlingInc, he confirmed it was for him: "It was for me. In recent years, I've tried to bring that back to the table with Vince but he's like, 'No, no, no. We're not going to use that right now.' Now, it's kind of gotten lost in the shuffle, the majority of people wouldn't remember GTV." When asked why GTV was dropped the answer was pretty straightforward from Dustin: "Well, I got released. So I guess that was one of the reasons they dropped it." He was released from WWE in 1999 and showed up in WCW, so while they still did GTV videos once in a while they never actually revealed who was behind them. With Goldust gone from the company they had no backup plan in place and that was the end of the angle. A lot of people assumed it was Goldust because it fit his gimmick as a weird guy. It was never mentioned on WWE camera, though, so it's one of those things WWE apparently didn't want us to know about Goldust.
