The one thing that WWE wants us to forget the most about The Great Khali is probably that he was one of the worst World Heavyweight Champions they ever had. It was a huge mistake to put the World Title on a guy that could barely wrestle, much less have a match that was entertaining. Khali's lone World Title victory took place on the July 17, 2007 edition of Smackdown when he won a battle royal. Edge suffered a torn pectoral, so he had to forfeit the title and it was Khali that was chosen as the next champion. This took place shortly after the Chris Benoit double murder suicide rocked WWE, so it was a difficult period for the company. The main reason Khali held the title for two months was because they wanted to build up a heel champion before having Batista beat him for it, which happened at the September 2007 Unforgiven PPV. It was a bad move putting the World Title on Khali because he's not skilled enough to wrestle main event level matches that are competitive and good to watch. There are a few decent matches that he had, but not that many. It's not like Khali as World Champ was good for business either. He was in WWE as a novelty act, not as a main event level performer. When WWE talks about the best World Champions in company history or even the best one from the last decade, you'll never hear them talk about Khali. That's why his reign as World Heavyweight Champion is something WWE wants you to forget. ---- That's it for this week's things WWE wants us to forget series.
