10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Great Khali

5. He Missed The First Punjabi Prison Due To Elevated Liver Enzymes

For whatever reason, the 2006 Great American Bash event was cursed thanks to three wrestlers that had elevated liver enzymes. The three wrestlers were Bobby Lashley, Super Crazy and The Great Khali, who was set for the first Punjabi Prison match against Undertaker. If you don't know what those are then it's basically another way of saying he was using Performance Enhancing Drugs. Since Khali wasn't allowed to wrestle, WWE changed the booking at the show by having Big Show attack The Undertaker backstage. That led to Teddy Long taking Khali out of the match and replacing him with Big Show. It was Teddy's way of punishing Show by making him wrestle in that atrocity of a match. Khali ended up coming out at the end of the brutal match, but he didn't get involved at all. Undertaker won by falling out the door, which drew a mild reaction at best because the fans really didn't know what the rules were. Due to Khali's elevated liver enzymes, he was forced to miss the first match that was designed just for him. Since WWE never explained the real reasons for him missing the match, it's something they want you to forget.
