A lot of fans would presumably think that Lita started her WWE career with Jeff and Matt Hardy, but that is incorrect. After her brief run in ECW and then some further training in WWE, she was paired up with a wrestler named Essa Rios. He actually started in WWE as Aguila, but they gave him a new gimmick and look and Lita as a valet. He was a highflier, so she fit with him because she was very athletic, too, and prone to busting out a hurricanrana or moonsault, often once Rios had defeated his opponents. The alliance with Essa didn't last too long, mind. It started in February 2000 and was done by May, when Rios was caught flirting with some of The Godfather's ho's. Speaking of which, did you know that Lita herself once served as a ho in the mid-90s? True story. Anyway, Rios attacked Lita by hitting a Powerbomb on her. Lita was saved by the Hardys and she was paired with them from that point on. The trio lasted for a couple of years, before disbanding during the Brand Split. At least Lita mentioned Essa during her Hall of Fame speech - it's not like WWE mentioned their union during her induction video!
