10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About "Macho Man" Randy Savage
5. His Last Wrestling Appearance Was In TNA
When WWE tells the story of Randy's career they like to say that he was discovered by WWE, became one of the biggest stars there, went on to WCW and then that was it. They pretend as if that was the end of it for him. That's not true, though. Randy's carer in WCW ended in early 2000. He was not used after that. When WWE bought WCW in 2001, they slowly brought in a lot of big WCW names except Savage was not one of them. He ended up working for TNA where he had the last match of his career. The event was called TNA Turning Point 2004. It was a PPV where Savage teamed up with Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. It was treated as a big deal (at least from TNA's perspective) because it was Randy's first match in four years. He really wasn't a part of the match, though. He was supposed to be in it, yet if you watch it he doesn't show up until the very end to get the pin on Jarrett. It was the last time Randy was part of a major wrestling show. He was gone from TNA the next day. Most likely what happened is he realized he couldn't do it anymore, so he walked away.
