10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Randy Orton

4. He Was Suspended Multiple Times For Unprofessional Conduct

Orton has been suspended by WWE a few times in his career. In April of 2006, Orton was suspended for 60 days for unprofessional conduct. Here are some quotes from the September 2006 edition of WWE Magazine with Orton talking about the reasons for his suspension: "My problems came to a head when I decided to smoke a joint and someone smelled it and stooged me off. You know who you are, so if you€™re reading this, thanks. But I also had a few outbursts of anger on the road. I get loud and verbally abusive. But I€™ve nipped that part of me in the bud. I attended an anger management clinic in Atlanta. It cost 15 grand for a four-week stay. I had to live down there on the campus. The first week I was there, I was like, OK, I€™ll do what I have to do to get out of here. But then I started to realize, wow, I was wrong in a lot of these situations. I just got this reputation of being hard to work with, being a d**k and everything in the book. But the truth is, I don€™t flip out anymore" They wrote Orton out of storylines by having Kurt Angle injure his ankle. When he came back, Orton switched from Smackdown to Raw and had a SummerSlam match with Hulk Hogan.

Orton was clearly lying when he said he doesn't flip out because that's what happened a year later. During a WWE tour of the UK in the spring of 2007, Orton allegedly caused $50,000 worth of damage to a hotel room. He wasn't suspended for the incident, but was sent home from the tour early and had to pay for the damages.
