3. He Was Removed As The Lead Actor From The Marine 3 Due To US Military Discharge

The Marine Homefront When WWE set up Orton to star in their third Marine film, it caused an uproar within the US Military. The reason? Because prior to his WWE career, Orton was court-martialed and served 38 days in a military prison. In 2012 when this story first broke, a WWE rep spoke to TMZ about it: ""WWE demonstrated poor judgment in signing Randy Orton for the 3rd installment of the film." They also spoke to Cpl. Mike Vinn who was angry that Orton was even considered for the role: "I am disgusted that his face and the word Marine are being used next to each other -- real or fake -- because of the fact that he quit us, the country, and the Marine Corps. in the role of a Marine is a disgrace to those that have worn and are wearing that uniform." Days after his removal was announced, Orton went on Twitter to comment on his removal from the film: "I respect our military. That's why I've gone to Iraq or Afghan 3 times and met thousands of soldiers. Funny that's not mentioned." The Miz ended up starring in The Marine 3 while Orton had other movie roles as part of "That's What I Am" and he was in the "12 Rounds: Reloaded" film as well.
