4. He's Trying To Get Out Of WWE Right Now

Rey hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since April around WrestleMania. He's had so many injuries in the last few years that people just assume he's constantly hurt. However, it appears that the main reason he's away is because he really doesn't want to come back anymore. It's a tricky situation because Rey's a contracted WWE performer that WWE has invested a lot in. His contract has reportedly run out, but WWE wants to extend it because of all the time he's missed. Reportedly he's not cashing WWE checks and has no interest in coming back now. One of his best friends is Konnan and he's constantly saying "#FreeRey" on Twitter because he wants WWE to release Mysterio so he can go work for AAA in Mexico, which Konnan is a big part of. He actually appeared in a video at the end of the last AAA event last Sunday, which could lead to legal troubles since he works for WWE. The fact that one of their top guys is trying to quit is definitely something that WWE wants you to forget.
