With Toni Storm needing to step away from the ring for an indefinite amount of time, AEW wrote Timeless Toni off TV on last week's Dynamite by having her attacked off-screen by a mystery figure(s).

Despite the uncertainty over Storm's status and return, Fightful Select reports that AEW already has a "creative plan" in place for this mystery attacker angle. So, as and when the former four-time AEW World Champion returns, it sounds as if AEW already has the pieces in place for who was behind this attack. Of course, the company doesn't have to wait until Toni's return for this attacker to be revealed, as that can always be an ongoing story during this absence, potentially involving Mina Shirakawa, too.

As for Toni Storm's status, Fightful adds that she'll be absent for an "indeterminate" amount of time, reiterating that there are currently no plans for Storm to return or wrestle any time soon. This comes on the heels of other recent reports that Toni is expected to be out of action for at least the rest of the year.

At AEW Revolution earlier this month, Toni Storm picked up a win over Marina Shafir and then had a post-match face-to-face with Ronda Rousey. Following that, a Storm vs. Shafir rematch was set for last week's Dynamite, where the two would have a No DQ bout. However, Toni was pulled from that match at the last minute, being replaced by Mina Shirakawa, who got the somewhat surprise win over Marina.
