10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rob Van Dam

9. He Worked For TNA Between His Runs In WWE

Rob Van Dam worked for WWE from 2001 through 2007. By that point he was tired of the WWE schedule and his wife also had cancer, so he stayed home to be with her. His wife was able to overcome it and is doing great today. Following his run with WWE, there were always rumors about when RVD was going to come back to WWE. Most people figured it was just a matter of time because he was always popular with the WWE fans. It's not like he really upset management that often. He's always been a laid back kind of guy. That's just how RVD is. When he returned at the 2009 Royal Rumble it was only a one night thing. He wasn't returning full time. In March of 2010, he ended up signing with TNA Wrestling likely because their easier schedule. It was also a time when TNA would overpay for talent unlike now. He became the X Division champion and also had a World Title reign in TNA because he was fresh there. By the end of his TNA run you could see that he was losing interest, so in early 2013 he was gone three years after he showed up. When he returned to WWE in the summer of 2013 they made no mention of where he had been before. That's typical of WWE policy. They don't acknowledge TNA, nor should they. However, he still worked there so that's obviously something that WWE wants us to forget.
