10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Stephanie McMahon

9. She Briefly Had A Personal Trainer Named Muffy

When Stephanie was the Women's Champion in early 2000, she wasn't exactly what you would call a fighting champion. She won on a fluke and she rarely defended the title. It was at a time when WWE didn't really care about having a strong women's division. In April of 2000, Stephanie decided to introduce a fitness instructor to her act by bringing in this woman named "Muffy" who was portrayed by a woman named Caryn Mower. She only lasted in WWE for two appearances before she was taken off TV and released later in the year. While there were never any detailed reports as to why she was removed, it could be because they didn't want to portray the idea that Stephanie wasn't in shape or that she needed help. Maybe Stephanie was okay with the idea of wrestling more, so they could have used Muffy to distract opponents or interfere. Perhaps they wanted Muffy to wrestle and she didn't have a grasp of it. Nobody really knows. No word on how WWE came up with the name "Muffy" although knowing how WWE operates sometimes it could have been from the "muff dive" sexual term. Look it up, kids.
