10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Stephanie McMahon

4. She Compared 9/11 Attacks To Her Dad's Steroid Trial

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzz2n9xC8ps The September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City is one of the most tragic events in the history of the world. Nearly 3,000 people died that day as planes flew into the twin towers and two others were hijacked as well. WWE was supposed to tape Smackdown that day, but instead they pushed it back for two days and aired a live Smackdown on September 13, 2001. During the show, various WWE stars talked about the incident. When Stephanie McMahon spoke, she said something that drew a lot of attention in a bad way. Here's what she said: "A few years ago, some people tried to destroy my family. They attacked my father's reputation, they attacked my mother's reputation, and they attacked the World Wrestling Federation. They tried to rip us apart...but all they did was make my family stronger. And that's exactly how America feels right now. Because on Tuesday, America was attacked. Because America is a united nation. And together, we stand strong. I am incredibly proud to be an American citizen, and I will stand up for my rights and my freedom." She was referring to the steroid trial of her father Vince McMahon. Remember that nearly 3,000 people died as innocent victims due to the actions of terrorists and she was comparing it to her dad allegedly giving steroids to wrestlers. It was a ludicrous comparison. While it's understandable that she was mad that the government tried to take down her father, it was completely out of line to suggest that an attack like that was comparable to something that led to people losing their lives just by being in a building that day.
