Time waits for no man.

Vince McMahon might be the revolutionary behind a lavish, cash-rich WWE empire, and he may have been likened to a real-life cyborg in the past, but he's still a human being. Even the 'sports entertainment' patriarch himself was powerless to stop 2020 from f*cking up everyone's plans. He was just like you - he had a tough, unpredictable year full of twists and turns.

McMahon's juggernaut was forced to adapt many times during the past 12 months. Some things, like the "celebrated and spectacular" (Michael Cole's words) ThunderDome and heel revamp of poster boy Roman Reigns, were undoubted successes once WWE got stuck in. Other moments were regrettable, can't hide behind the backdrop of 2020's non-WWE misery, and they're probably ones that Vinnie Mac would like everyone to forget.

WWE has placed faith in those who didn't deserve it this year, and they've been forced to wave goodbye to one of their most famous sons. Both occasions act as respective lessons and reminders that nothing should be taken for granted in pro wrestling.
