10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About 2020

10. ThunderDome Teething Problems

The ThunderDome was a blessing when it debuted in August.

WWE spared no expense when building the set, and they created something that improved on the restrictive Performance Center experience in every way. The project did come with some early teething problems though - mainly, they were down to trolls who couldn't resist the chance to pop themselves at WWE's expense.

During the 'Dome's first few weeks, fans displayed Chris Benoit on one of the LED screens around ringside. As if that wasn't bad enough, there were visible nazi gestures and KKK imagery in the background on live TV. It was a PR nightmare for WWE, and they were forced to start properly moderating users who were dropping in to watch the show.

This will not be mentioned whenever WWE wax lyrical about the ThunderDome in the future. They're hardly going to acknowledge that some fans used the flashy digital crowd experiment to offend everyone they could, and got away with it because WWE weren't paying full attention.
