10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Booker T

1. That Vince McMahon Moment

The same year Kurt Angle tried to have "bestiality sex" with his wife on television, Booker was subjected to Vince McMahon acting like an out-of-touch, racist old man towards John Cena at Survivor Series.

Trying to act hip around his WWE Champion, who also doubled as an Eminem-style rapper (or Vanilla Ice, depending on your point of view), McMahon encouraged Cena to "keep it up, my n*gga". That is not a joke, he actually said that live on pay-per-view, and he did it in front of Booker T and Sharmell.

WWE's PG certification and unwillingness to irk major shareholders means this is the sort of thing you won't be seeing on Raw, SmackDown or pay-per-view today. It was a shocking moment, made even more so by Booker's comedic response of, "tell me he didn't just say that".

2005 must have been a bizarre time to be part of WWE creative meetings if this was the kind of material being pitched. Maybe it was a homage to Booker's legendary promo gaff in WCW or something.
