10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Booker T

10. The Social Media Backlash To His Commentary

Not everybody can be a brilliant commentator.

Even though Booker T was one hell of a talker during his in-ring career, that style hasn't transferred smoothly to the announce desk. On colour, Booker is right up there with current social media favourite (ahem) Jonathan Coachman as one fans love to bash. Sadly, they've every reason to.

WWE blatantly want to ignore this, and they'd much rather people forgave Booker for jumping in with unnecessary jokes, interrupting his co-workers when they're making a point, flubbing his lines or laughing when he should be trying to seriously sell what's happening in front of him.

Fans on Twitter have rarely taken to Booker, but that hasn't stopped WWE from sporadically putting him on commentary duty since his company return in 2011. It's fair to say that working as part of a team, rather than shouting his way through a promo, is challenging to the legend.
