10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Braun Strowman

9. He Won The “Greatest” Royal Rumble

Eyes rolled when WWE's announce teams claimed that some Saudi Arabian stadium show would play host to the "Greatest" Royal Rumble in history three years ago. The April 2018 card was their first foray into Saudi territory - it was unwanted by fans, and probably unwanted by most of the roster too.

That "Greatest" branding could come back to haunt them.

The pretence was that, by winning an interminable 50-man Rumble, Braun had done the impossible and topped anything achieved by 30-man winners. People watching at home knew that wasn't the case. If anything, 99% of the audience could tell that WWE would forget this within a few months and move on to other overhyped "attractions".

That's exactly what they did. Braun's flashy green title belt was never seen again, and Seth Rollins' own Rumble win the next January (by eliminating Strowman, funnily enough) was treated like the second coming instead.
